The consumption of dark chocolate in the United States, while slowly growing in popularity, significantly trails that of milk chocolate.A recent poll by the Chocolate Manufacturer’s Association has shown that 65 percent of U.S. consumers prefer milk chocolate to dark. This agrees with manufacturing data, which shows that the sale of dark chocolate products comprises 35–40 percent of chocolate products manufactured and sold here.
